An anniversary between history and new beginnings

On 16 May 2021, iesy will celebrate its 55th anniversary. On this day 55 years ago, Friedhelm and Charlotte Schmitz founded the company ‘Electronik Schmitz KG’ in Kierspe. They were supported by Ludwig Valder, who was responsible for planning, development and sales, and Hans-Jürgen Mähnert, who contributed his technical background.

Since then, iesy has continued to develop and is currently setting further milestones. An extension to the existing company building is currently under construction, which will expand the production and office space by around 2,000 m². This will create additional capacity to provide space for new ideas, innovations, products, markets, customers and further team members.

But what is an anniversary without celebrating together or meeting in person with employees, customers and friends? Unfortunately, this is still not possible in the current situation – even if there are initial signs of easing restrictions on the horizon.

This makes it all the more important to say thank you. During the anniversary week, iesy will be personally thanking its employees. We would also like to thank our customers, partners and friends who have accompanied the company over the past 55 years.
