Rugged COMP within established military system architectures

Footprint

Military IT is operated in defined rack and vehicle structures. Rugged COMP addresses defined installation limits in military systems and is designed to make efficient use of the available width and height. Existing structures are thus taken into account in the design.

Form Factor

Half the width with full server performance. Rugged COMP combines a reduced rack width with classic height. The vertical structure remains at server level and is not compensated for by additional height units.

Deployment Environment

Designed for military land vehicles, the Rugged COMP’s system architecture is tailored for integration into vehicle platforms. Mechanical stability, thermal design, and interface structure take typical operating conditions into account.

TECHNOLOGICAL BASE

For Integration and Operation

Rugged COMP is an x86-based server platform in half rack width with standard server height. The system enables consolidation of compute-intensive applications directly at platform level and supports virtualization as well as local data processing.

The passively designed architecture supports operation across an extended temperature range and is suitable for deployment in mobile military environments.

High-performance interfaces, including 10 Gigabit Ethernet, ensure high data throughput and reliable integration of data-intensive subsystems within distributed IT architectures.
